Wildlife & Nature Photography

Our wildlife hide allows photographers to get up close to some of Scotlands iconic nature such as the Pine Marten and Red Squirrel. Guests staying can use our wildlife hide for free but we also offer packages of guided tours and workshops.

Our Wildlife hide can seat 2 people and has a wide window for a view of the natural perches with tripod attachments and comfortable seating. Set within our wildlife garden we have planted trees, plants and wildflowers to attract the bees, insects and mammals. Even with a basic camera you can capture amazing images but a Camera with a lens of 200-500mm is perfect. We have a wealth of local knowledge of wildlife watching opportunities, from Otters, Curlew, Red Shank, Oystercatchers, Seals, Porpoises, & Gannets.

We have a reflection pool and Squirrel Jump for amazing photography opportunities. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Peanuts are used as feed so its not suitable for allergy sufferers. We offer Astro photography session for Night Sky and Aurora images. We have regular visits from Tawny Owls and in the past have watched chicks being raised here. As the seasons change there is always something of interest to photograph all convientiently located in the garden or surrounding area. Autumn and Winter are fantastic to see wildlife.
